Around 2 a.m. on a clear night in late October, the witness heard growls and other noises outside his home and went out with a flashlight to investigate. He reported a strong dead-animal odor, movement across the road, and green eyeshine, then watched a tall dark bipedal animal cross the road into his woods and viewed it at close range in the treeline before retreating to the house. He reported hearing noises through the rest of the night and finding a few tracks afterward.

The witness claims he woke in bed to a strong musky odor and saw a huge hairy figure looking down through his open bedroom window from a few feet away. He fled to his parents' bedroom as the creature gave a loud roar that turned into a scream, waking family members and frightening dogs inside and outside. He prepared to go outside with a handgun to retrieve the outdoor dog but stayed inside after a second roar and a family member's urging, remaining terrified through the night.
