Two sisters driving home around 2 a.m. reported a very hairy bipedal creature walking in front of their Honda and touching the front of the vehicle. The creature looked directly at them and continued walking slowly with a sideways gait described as limping or injured, showing no fear. The witness estimated its height at about 5 foot 4.

On the last day of deer season in November 1988 at dusk, the witness was in a parked car after hunting when a dark brown, husky, six-foot figure emerged from brush and walked quickly across the road without acknowledging the witness. The figure continued into woods down a steep hill and disappeared. The witness searched on foot with a flashlight and then by car, finding no other people or vehicles, and found no tracks when returning the next day.

Two companions hiking toward a creek to fly-fish watched a large whitish animal cross the trail about 50 yards ahead and remain visible for several seconds while moving on all fours. It was described as bear-sized with shaggy light hair, a flat sparsely haired face with no muzzle or visible ears, and very long legs. Shortly afterward limbs in a nearby tree shook vigorously, but the animal was not seen again.

They then observed a figure watching them from a wooded ridge 50 to 75 yards away for about 45 minutes. When they left, the figure followed them at a distance as they walked about a mile back to the truck, during which they also noticed a faint dead-like smell.

The witness was squirrel hunting in a small farm woodlot on a sunny mid-morning when noisy birds in the underbrush drew attention. At a bend in a lane the witness saw a tall reddish-brown hairy biped standing off the trail about 25 yards away and they stared at each other without moving. After a standoff the creature raked berries from a shrub and ate them while glancing between the shrub and the witness. The witness slowly backed away out of sight, then walked fast and ran from the woodlot.

The witness was waiting above ground while two companions explored a pit, sitting reading in a jeep in a grassy clearing. He noticed a dark form moving in the treeline and called out, thinking it was the landowner, then moved to a power-line opening for a clearer view. The figure paused and stared for about 10 seconds, appearing as a 6-7 foot tall biped covered in long dark brown fur/hair, before walking away into the trees.

A tall, slender, hairy biped crossed directly in front of their car at very close range and continued to the other side of the road. At the top he found bare footprints in snow with clear toe and heel outlines, sunk deep and spaced about three of his strides apart, running north to south into trees.
