Former police officer and his wife awaken to unknown screams on their property near Alberton

The witness and her husband were asleep at their vacation cabin when they were awakened around 3:30 a.m. by loud screams that seemed to move across the property from the river toward the mountains. The screams occurred four or five times, prompting the husband to get his gun, and the couple saw nothing when they looked outside. They stated they had never heard such a sound before or since.
