Sighting by trucker on Hwy 90 at Lookout Pass outside Tammany
The witness, driving a truck near Lookout Pass around 4:30 a.m., reported seeing a reddish-brown haired bipedal figure standing behind a concrete barrier in bright truck headlights. Only the head and both arms above the barrier were visible for about 5 to 10 seconds. The figure then moved rapidly to the left and disappeared.
Possible activity including eye glow outside a home near Fort Ashby
Around 1 a.m. the witness got up for water and looked out the kitchen window. About 20 yards into the woods behind the house, three pairs of red glowing eyes moved single file at an estimated 7 feet off the ground. No bodies could be seen in the darkness except moving branches, and the movement was described as smooth, balanced and agile.
Night time sighting by motorist outside the town of Keyser
The witness was driving down a mountain road at night after dropping off a companion when headlights illuminated a large hairy figure sitting on a log beside the road. The figure stood, leapt into the roadway, and ran across into dense cover while the witness watched. The witness stopped, turned off the vehicle, and listened briefly to heavy crashing footsteps receding into the woods before driving on and noticing a nearby campfire gathering.
Large creature on all-fours seen crossing US-50 near Burlington
Late on Thanksgiving night in 2003, the witness was driving home on Route 50 near Burlington after dropping off a friend. She braked to avoid a large black animal crossing the road on all fours. The animal reached the far side, turned to look at her with orange eye reflection in the headlights, and she fled home in distress.
