On Nov 15, 1997 around 6:45, the witness was driving north and saw a creature coming out of a ditch. The creature had long hair on its arms and head hanging down. When the witness was about 10 feet away, it turned its flat, ape-like face to look in the witness's direction.

Above tall bushes ahead they saw a large dark head with huge dark eyes watching them motionlessly. The driver tipped the bike, both quickly righted it and fled without looking back, later confirming with each other what they had seen.

The witness and her cousin rode a minibike down a wooded path to a sandy turnaround. A dark face watched them from behind bushes on the far side. They righted the tipped bike and rode quickly back to the house, where the cousin declined to discuss it.
