Man-like figure seen running along a tree-line off Hwy. 12 near Checkerboard
The witness was driving back toward the cabin in the early afternoon when he spotted a dark figure moving along a distant tree line. He watched for about ten seconds as the two-legged figure with very long arms jogged toward the mountains without appearing alarmed. He concluded it was not a bear, moose, or ordinary person.

Close daylight sighting by a fisherman near White Sulphur Springs
The witness was fishing alone from a creek bank when he noticed a persistent decay-like odor. He then saw a reddish-brown female-appearing figure squatting across the creek near a beaver dam, apparently washing something in the water. After watching briefly, he stood and shouted, at which point the figure stood, made a short vocal sound, and left quickly. He returned to camp frightened and stayed there.
