A couple sitting at a picnic table beside a small pond noticed leaves fluttering with no wind and then saw a very large dark figure about 30 yards away in the treeline swaying back and forth. The wife described a gorilla-like face while her husband focused on the immense body size. After briefly watching them, the figure stepped back into the shadows and disappeared silently.
Man recalls his encounter after riding his dirt bike as a young man near Bradford
The witness stopped while riding to pick berries near a pipeline clearing and noticed what appeared to be a bear digging behind a fallen log. After watching for several minutes, the animal stood upright, stared at the witness, then walked smoothly across rough ground into the woods. The witness ran to the bike, briefly returned to the area, then left without looking for tracks.

The witness and a companion were walking home after playing softball at night when the witness noticed a very tall figure standing behind them. The figure ran toward them and both fled to the witness's house. They returned with a relative carrying flashlights but found nothing.

In March 2014 while staying at a cabin with four companions, the witness went alone to a nearby meadow after dark to look at stars. The witness heard bipedal footsteps approaching up the slope, called out twice with no reply, and the steps paused then stopped at the lane edge. As the witness walked back past that spot, brush shuffled as if something turned to watch, but all companions were still inside and had heard nothing.

Three bow hunters met in a field after dark while walking out. From a small woodlot about 70 yards away they twice heard a loud scream turning into a guttural growl with heavy breathing. One hunter briefly ran then returned, and the group left quickly after shining a weak light toward the sound without seeing anything.
