The witness claims finding a fresh large footprint in muddy ground near a river in the early afternoon, with photographs taken and others present. At the same time the group heard noises from underbrush up the hill. They thought the noise could possibly have been a herd of elk.

Late at night the witness was driving north on Harstine Island and slowed for a turn when headlights and moonlight revealed a huge upright figure in a pasture about 40 feet away. The figure looked at the car, walked parallel along the fence line, stepped over the fence, crossed the road and vanished into brush. The witness drove quickly to a campground shower and did not stay overnight, returning the next day to find the fence pushed down.

The witness and a companion were at a swimming spot below a cabin getting ready to hike back uphill when they heard heavy bipedal footsteps approaching through dense brush. A large, muscular, dark-haired figure parted the vegetation about 40 yards away and looked at them, and they fled uphill while hearing sounds of pursuit for a short distance.

The witness and a companion heard loud brush movement and limb-breaking sounds at a secluded pond, then smelled a strong unpleasant odor and felt unease. A short time later about a mile away they found a series of five very large footprints in a dried boggy area. They later returned and made a plaster cast and took photos of the prints.

The witness was sleeping alone in the family home when they awoke suddenly in the early morning and saw a dark head-shaped outline at the bedroom window, apparently peering inside. The figure immediately fled off the deck and ran around the house into the woods behind, moving very fast and making loud crashing noises. When it noticed the car it stood upright and quickly left the road, climbing a steep rock wall without using its hands. The pair were frightened and drove quickly past the spot. While fishing alone upstream, the witness saw a large boulder moving through the air and splash into the stream about 30 feet away. He did not see or smell anything that could have thrown it, but felt uneasy and felt he was not alone. He quickly returned to the vehicle where his companion had been fishing downstream, and they ate and left.
