Hikers report possible sasquatch vocals + stalking in center of Harstine Island
Three people walking a gated logging road in the morning heard owl-like calls that seemed to come from ground level, move with them, and come from both sides of the trail. They also heard muffled voice-like sounds and a very loud, low-pitched growl from close in the forest. They noticed oddly broken and arranged branches near a marsh and clearing, felt unwelcome and watched, and left when the sounds stopped near the car.

A witness and his son were driving slowly while spotting for deer when they noticed a large dark upright figure moving through brush toward them. The son photographed it with a cellphone as it traveled parallel to the road, paused to look at them, then crossed the narrow road in two steps and vanished into dense brush. Investigators later interviewed the witnesses, examined the photos, and revisited the site for measurements.
Possible footprints found near Manistee
While deer hunting, two companions found a single set of oversized tracks that were longer and wider than a size 9.5 tennis shoe, with about a six-foot stride. They observed the prints heading northwest through pine forest near a swamp. The witness returned four days later to photograph the prints and said they were unsure whether the tracks were Bigfoot-related.

The witness was staying on a moored boat and took a puppy to the deck in the early morning. Across the water at a lit state-park dock, the witness watched a large dark hairy figure walk up stairs and along a walkway before taking a few long strides into the forest. The observation lasted about 15 seconds and the figure did not react to the barking puppy.
