Through binoculars the witness watched a large hairy figure sitting on a log hitting it with a rock, then standing, looking toward the witness, moving its head side to side while hunched, and dashing into the thicket.

After staring at each other for several seconds, the figure pushed off the tree, causing it to sway, and ran silently down a bank toward the woods and cornfield. The witness described the figure as about 7 to 8 feet tall with off-white to tan hair and longer-than-human arms.

The witness and four companions were riding ATVs at night when they heard a single loud branch snap followed by dead silence. After moving to a clearing, a large log and then a limestone slab were thrown from an uphill wooded area toward a companion's ATV, barely missing the rider. Loud thumps and breaking branches suggesting something heavy running downhill followed, and the group started their vehicles and left quickly.
