The witness was driving home at night when a tall bipedal animal crossed in front of the vehicle and went into the woods across from the house. The animal was described as 7 to 8 feet tall and muscular, covered in matted burgundy to brick-red hair about 4 inches long, with a grayish pale face whose features could not be discerned. The witness thought it might have been scavenging fish along a nearby lake bank.

Late at night the witness was driving home near a wildlife area when headlights revealed a large bipedal figure beside the treeline about 15-20 feet from the road. The figure appeared to be walking away into the trees showing its back, and when the witness stopped the headlights had moved past it so nothing could be seen. The witness then left the area alone.

In May/June 2012 around 10:30 p.m. the witness and a relative heard a loud guttural vocalization outside the home. They went to the porch and watched a large dark furry animal low to the ground run on all fours past a neighboring home, triggering motion lights. Coyotes vocalized shortly afterward, and another relative later said the sound had awakened them.

Around 3 a.m. the witness was sitting on the house steps smoking while home alone. Hearing dogs bark, she saw a tall black mass peeking and leaning out from behind a shed about 50 yards away, making out head, shoulder and knee. She ran inside to get a gun, and when she came back out the figure was gone.

On one occasion in heavy fog the witness saw a large dark bipedal shape, later estimated at about seven feet tall and very muscular. Late at night on July 4th while camping behind a relative's house, the witness left the campsite with a flashlight to use the bathroom. About a minute down the trail, a large dark-furred biped crossed the trail about 20 feet away, paused to look at the witness after the witness gasped, then walked away. The witness dropped the flashlight, ran back to camp panicked, and later declined to sleep outside.

In September 1992 the witness and three companions were walking around a lake at night when a tall hairy biped crossed the road very close behind them. The witness and a sister saw it, screamed, and the group ran back to the house where they stayed awake fearfully the rest of the night. The height was later revised from about 13 feet to eight to nine feet, with shaggy dark hair and a husky build described.
