Nighttime sighting by motorists along I-55 near Lincoln

Late at night in October 2004 the witness was riding as a passenger on a southbound highway toward Springfield, Illinois, with a companion driving. At the roadside in the headlight beams they first mistook a crouched figure for dumped trash, then saw it rise upright and step back. They observed it standing fully illuminated for a few seconds as they passed closely, and both occupants exclaimed that it was Bigfoot.
