Woman walking dog hears whoops

The witness took a small dog outside next to a condemned house and the dog suddenly ran behind the witness. The witness then heard a very loud, close whoop-like call twice, seemingly from behind the house where elk bed down. The witness retreated toward the car, barked aggressively to deter it, and never saw anything.
