Early afternoon sighting by hiker near Morton
In the early afternoon the witness and companions were walking down an old logging road when they heard strange whistling, gurgling pig-like sounds and trees shaking nearby. The witness approached to about 30 feet and saw the back of a light beige, clean-haired figure with darker face and hands holding trees, which then struck trees, turned away, and ran off on all fours while whistling continued from across the road. Companions farther away heard the whistles, thuds and thrashing but did not see the figure.
Hunter hears chimp-like sounds north of the North Pass ski resort
The witness was hunting elk with a muzzleloader several miles north of a ski area as snow began to fall. From a small canyon he heard chimp-like huffing and chattering that seemed to come from three individuals on both sides of the ravine. He tried to see the sources as the sounds kept moving ahead with him but saw nothing, then returned to camp as the storm worsened and daylight faded.

The witness and a relative were camped in a tent by a small lake after backpacking and scouting for elk. Around 4 a.m. the witness awoke to branches breaking about 50 yards away followed by an extremely loud scream/howl he said he had never heard before. After a few minutes he heard more branches breaking, then nothing further. Frightened, he packed up and left with the relative about half an hour later.

In 1980 a teenage witness walking up a long driveway by dense brush heard something bipedal pacing her from cover, seeing only treetops move. That night she and her sister heard very loud repeated whoop-like calls followed by a long sad wailing cry from the woods behind their unfinished house. She interpreted the daytime pacing and nighttime calls as connected and attributed them to Bigfoot.

On a return to look for evidence, the witness watched short pine tops shake violently and heard a harsh loud scream, later noting suspicious tree breaks.
