Big howls heard by property owner, stones throw from OK/AR border near Mena AR
In early summer 2007 the witness was traveling north on Highway 259 near Big Cedar in the morning. About a half-mile ahead, a tall, very dark bipedal figure with long arms crossed the highway. The figure was uniformly dark brown to black from head to feet.
Early morning sighting on US 59 near Poteau
The witness was driving at night and turned onto a county road when the headlights revealed a tall hunched figure on the roadside. The figure ran into the trees as the vehicle approached. The witness slowed with the windows down to look for it and heard a very loud growl but did not see it again.
Couple witness a possible juvenile running on all fours in Smithville
The witness and a companion were driving on a dirt road in daylight when they noticed a sweet but dead-like odor. Shortly after rounding a curve they watched a small dark short-haired quadruped cross from left to right into the woods. They stopped and looked but saw nothing further and could not identify the animal, later interpreting it as a possible baby Sasquatch.
Young man has road cross encounter at dusk
A driver reported watching a large, brown, heavy-set creature slowly jog across a remote two-lane road and continue up a hill on two legs without looking at him. The observation lasted about 10 seconds at dusk. He first thought it was a bear but changed his mind when it moved bipedally like a person.
Nighttime sighting by trucker near Honobia
In July 1983 the witness was driving a tanker truck in the Honobia-Pickens area. A very large hairy creature ran across the road in front of the truck, nearly being hit, and continued running without stopping. The witness estimated it at about seven feet tall with a brownish upper body and lighter lower body and noted it wore no shoes.
