Frightened, she did not stop and immediately called her fiancé about what she had seen.

The witness reported finding an X-shaped arrangement of large branches near a deer stand in early October 2015 and leaving leaves, apples, and peanut butter there over several visits. The leaves and fruit repeatedly disappeared, and a jar of peanut butter later vanished and reappeared on the nearby stand with part of the contents missing. During a nighttime visit with two companions, a small curly clear-looking hair was found on the structure. No creature was reported seen during these incidents.

During a winter duck hunt the witness waded out to retrieve a downed bird and noticed feathers and rhythmic splashes in flooded timber. Months later, after seeing a program about primates using rocks to communicate, the witness wondered if the visit had been by an unrecognized primate.
