Two riders on horseback noticed a stump-like shape on a ridge that moved and watched them. The figure leaned over a cliff edge, then backed out of sight, and was seen twice more farther along the trail, once with a foot on a boulder. Backlit by the sun it appeared as a large dark brown heavily muscled figure twice the size of a man, and the horses became agitated.
