Campers hear loud vocalizations near gravel pit
The witness was camping overnight with two companions when nighttime noises disturbed their sleep. After initial stick-breaking and sliding sounds from a hill across from the tent, an extremely loud howl that rose into a scream was heard very close behind the tent, followed by monkey-like chattering and a second similar howl-scream from farther away in another direction. The woods then remained unusually silent for the rest of the night.
Deer hunters heard loud, low vocalization
The witness and a companion were deer hunting during rifle season and briefly separated in the woods. While waiting alone, the witness heard a very strange deep sound lasting many seconds, then heard it again sounding closer. Frightened, the witness rejoined the companion, who confirmed also hearing it, and both agreed it matched no known animal or human they knew.

The witness was on a multi-day camping and fishing trip with companions in a remote river area. While moving downstream, he found several large tracks on a sand bar near a log jam that he described as larger than his own foot. Shortly after, while returning to the trail to tell his companion, he heard three loud thudding sounds likened to stomping, became frightened, and later avoided camping so far out.
Witness tells of hearing and smelling a creature near Wildwood Falls
The witness and a relative were running at night along an old logging road toward the Falls when they noticed a strong musty odor. About 50 feet ahead, they perceived only a large, fast, dark movement that crashed through dense brush toward the Falls and then fell silent. The next day they found a wide smashed path with broken small trees and grooves in the ground. The witness stated the odor was unlike bear and distinct from other animals encountered before.

The witness was cracking rocks for agates by the creek behind the family farm when she heard mimicked cracking sounds and had a rock fly past. She leaned forward and saw a five-foot hair-covered figure with feminine facial features watching from brush a short distance away. After exchanging looks and gestures and leaving a rock as a gift, she backed away keeping eye contact and ran home.

A family picnicking by a creek heard noises, a loud splash, and a deep growl from the woods while their dog became agitated. As the family drove out of the park, the reporter saw a large hairy human-like figure walking near a closed logging road. The reporter told the driver to continue on without returning.
Whoop near Fall Creek, Oregon
On hunting and camping trips around Fall Creek Reservoir and Wimble Pass, the witness reports a rock striking the side of the pickup, hearing whoops, trees falling and large splashes in water, and later hearing wood knocks while family members walked in the woods. No source was found for the impacts or sounds.
