Hunter has close enounter with a sasquatch, while elk hunting with family.
During an elk-hunting camp stay, the witness slept alone in a tent near a trailer. On the night of Oct 20 after lights were out, something large came into camp making knocking and pounding sounds, handling food paper, walking bipedally and breaking sticks, and giving off a strong rotten-egg odor. The witness aimed a rifle but did not shoot, then retreated to the trailer where a relative also smelled the odor and both saw a third set of eyes near the mules. In the morning they found footprints, hairs, and a small twisted-off tree and photographed some traces.
man and wife find large humanoid footprints, while scouting deer.
A couple scouting deer stopped along a dirt road and found unusual large prints in snow. They followed the tracks, finding about 15 on one side and over 100 on the other, noting the maker appeared to have stepped over fence lines. The witness photographed and measured the melted impressions and later estimated the maker's size by comparing with his own tracks.
Tracks found in Sky Lakes region
While camping near a creek between two hills, the witness and a companion discovered large footprints along the bank. Three prints were clear and four or five others were difficult to discern. The tracks led toward the water but none led away, leading the witness to think the maker had entered the creek.
Tracks/hair found near waterhole
The witness was inspecting a fenced spring used to water cattle when they found very large footprints in mud and pine duff. They compared the prints to their own shoe, stride, and impression depth to estimate a very tall, heavy maker, and kept tufts of black hair found at the site. They followed the trail uphill until dense undergrowth made them uncomfortable, then returned to a relative's home without seeing the animal.
Xmas tree cutters find tracks near Mt Pitt
While going to work on a Christmas-tree cutting contract after an overnight snowfall, the witnesses found fresh barefoot prints in the snow. The only other tracks were their own vehicle tracks. The footprints came out of the trees, followed the road for about one hundred feet, then went back into the trees, and could not be traced further where there was no snow under dense timber.
