Jefferson Head encounter by community service group
A group of teenage girls doing shoreline cleanup heard loud screaming from the woods and then saw a hair-covered biped emerge from a marsh onto the beach. The creature appeared startled, took cover behind driftwood, and watched them from a crouch for several minutes. The frightened group fled to their van and left the beach.

The witness and two companions were coming inside from a hot tub when they heard chirping calls from two sources that seemed to answer each other. This was followed by about five minutes of very scary howling and screaming sounds ending with chirps. The family dog reacted fearfully and would not leave the porch. The witness later said the sounds matched online recordings of alleged vocalizations.
