Memory told of a nighttime sighting while working as a police officer answering a prowler call in Marrero

Two officers responding to a late-night prowler call encountered a tall dark hair-covered biped. It was first seen pressed against a house, then moved between houses and crossed a residential street under a streetlight before disappearing into a wooded marshy area near a canal. The officers watched it cross the wide street in three strides without running, and tracking dogs lost its scent at the marsh.
