Possible nighttime sighting by a homeowner near Bonnie
Late at night in fall 2010, the witness was at home when barking dogs prompted an investigation and a large dark figure was seen crossing the pasture toward the barn. The witness got a firearm, stepped outside, fired a warning shot and then multiple shots as the figure ran through wire fencing and disappeared into corn behind the house while a dog chased. The shots did not appear to slow it.
Man experiences loud yells and tree-shaking while deer hunting near Ashville
The witness was hunting from a tree stand in the late afternoon when he heard very loud, unfamiliar yells from about 150-200 yards away. The yells repeated minutes later from apparently closer. He then watched a small sapling whip violently side to side for about a minute while surrounding grasses did not move similarly. Feeling uneasy as darkness approached, he climbed down and left the woods without ever seeing the source.

The witness and companions were hiking in the Hoh Rainforest when they found a large footprint in mud. The witness compared it to his own boot, noting it was slightly longer and much deeper than a hard stomp he made. A second, smaller partial print was found farther along the trail. The witness photographed the clearer track for scale.

The witness was hiking with his wife on a lakeside trail and kneeling to photograph mosses when he noticed a large footprint in soft soil. He photographed it from overhead and with his shoe for scale, but found no other prints due to heavy leaf litter. On the first night of an October 2004 expedition, four participants walked a stretch of mountain road making wood knocks. They heard deep grunting sounds from the woods, then later heard two loud scream-like vocalizations from different sides of the road, one a few hundred yards away and one within about 50 yards. They stated the screams started as a low moan and rose to a high-pitched screech and were unlike any known local animal sounds.

During an overnight fishing trip the witness and his girlfriend were sleeping in a parked vehicle near a cabin when they noticed a tall hair-covered figure standing at the tree line and two smaller crouched figures near a truck. After alerting a companion in the cabin, the witness started the vehicle to shine lights on the figures, which then fled into the trees. A companion reported something running across the road as they drove, and later the group heard commotion near the lake.

Two boys were playing near a creek valley across from a house and waded into the water after hearing movement in the brush. One of them noticed a large very dark brown monkey- or gorilla-like creature watching them from behind bushes on the far bank. After staring for what seemed a minute, both fled uphill and watched it moving through the brush in an upright walk.

The witness and a relative were bowhunting for deer in the evening and started hiking downhill toward home after feeling watched. After hearing a loud crash in brush, they ran about half a mile while hearing something running behind them. They crossed a pasture gate, stopped, and watched a large hairy bipedal figure by the gate for about 30 seconds before it turned and walked away.

The witness and his wife were hiking a busy trail in the Hoh rainforest in daylight when they found a bare human-like footprint. The witness photographed the print with his boot for scale and later described it as about 11-12 inches long with squared-off toes. The witness was smoking in his garage at night when he felt a strong sense of being watched and became fearful and went inside. Shortly after he and his wife were in bed, they heard strange evolving vocalizations from the woods behind the house through an open window, including babbling, crying-like sounds and loud screaming lasting about three minutes. A neighbor's flashlight appeared during the screaming, after which the couple closed the window and the sounds stopped.

While bow-hunting deer from a tree stand at approaching dark, the witness saw a dark figure run quickly through brush and across openings, covering in seconds ground that had taken minutes to walk. The figure was described as taller than the witness and black all over with a hump on its back. Afterward the witness left quickly and learned a hunting companion nearby had heard movement but seen nothing, and checkout staff said no other hunters were in the area.

The witness was driving east in the early morning to go mushroom hunting when a large dark hairy animal crossed the road toward a cedar thicket. The animal was estimated at six feet tall, with heavy shoulders and a human-like walk with swinging arms, then hurried and ran into cover. The witness stopped with the engine off to listen, heard nothing, then continued on and avoided stopping at the crossing site on the way home.

He climbed a side hill and saw a still dark bear draped over a vine maple, then noticed a very large dark-brown biped standing about 50 feet away with its back turned. The creature turned and stared with red glowing eyes, prompting the witness to flee to his truck screaming, after which he refused to return to the woods and his crew left the area.

Late at night the witness was inside a trailer in the woods when a loud, strange bellowing was heard twice from the woods. The witness stepped outside onto the porch to listen and judged the sound came from 100 to 150 yards away and from a very large, nocturnal animal. After waiting, the witness walked up a nearby dirt road with a flashlight but found nothing.

The main witness was sitting on a log hunting squirrels after an older relative moved to another area. A dark hairy figure reportedly ran upright from behind a tree very fast, making a high-pitched noise with loud thumping footsteps. After it disappeared, the witness ran to tell the older relative, who did not believe the account.

The witness was hiking in a remote, semi-hilly wooded area when they came across large tracks in mud estimated at about 17-18 inches. They also noticed a strong unpleasant odor and found a pile of long dark brown fur on the ground near a tree. No creature itself was reported as seen.

Around 3 a.m. the witness claims a large animal walked through the group's camp from dense cover while everyone listened. The witness deliberately stayed quiet to avoid provoking it. Later the campers compared notes and one said he had seen a human-like silhouette at the time they all heard the animal.
