Hammock Slapped, Bipedal Walking, and Two Vocalizations Experienced by Trio of Campers
Three campers spent the night in separate tent and hammock shelters arranged around a campfire at a remote site. During the night the reporting witness was awakened by a slap to his tarp, while the companions reported bipedal footsteps circling their shelters. Shortly after the footsteps left, two loud howls were heard about 15 minutes apart. No creature was seen and no footprints were found in the morning due to leaf cover.

The witness was stopped in a vehicle for bridge construction when they saw a tall dark figure walking in the treeline beside railroad tracks. The figure continued walking for an extended period before disappearing into thicker growth. The witness estimated its height at 7 to 8 feet and described it as dark-colored and thin to muscular.

On a night trip in early March 2013, the witness and three companions stopped in the woods around 2:30 a.m. after hearing a loud moaning sound. The witness shone a light downhill and saw a head with two closely spaced eyes about 40 feet away and 5 to 6 feet off the ground. The eyes stared for about 45 seconds before sidestepping behind a tree, and a quick search found nothing and no tracks.

The witness was driving across railroad tracks in late morning when he noticed two dark figures near vegetation about 100 yards away. One figure was standing upright while the other was sitting. He remained in his truck and watched for about a minute before traffic behind him and an approaching train caused him to drive on.

The witness was traveling along a road around 11 a.m. in clear, cool conditions and reported seeing a tall, thin, hair-covered figure standing off to the side of nearby railroad tracks. The witness described the figure as very tall but reported no facial details. An investigator later met the witness and visited the location, recording estimates of about seven feet tall, slender build, black hair, about 200 pounds, and about 250 feet observation distance.

While mushroom hunting with a child near a creek, the witness noticed movement behind a tree across the creek and then saw part of a dark hair-covered entity, including knee, shoulder and face. The entity moved behind the tree out of view, and the witness left immediately with the child. She later returned with a firearm and found footprints where the entity had stood.

The witness was riding in a vehicle with three relatives on a wooded road after sundown. As the vehicle came around a curve, the headlights illuminated a creature standing on a creek bank by a wooden bridge. The creature looked toward the vehicle, its eyes caught in the headlights, then turned and walked away.

The witness froze, the creature quickly retreated into the woods, and the witness fled down the trail to the vehicle.
