Two bow hunters found large human-like footprints with toe impressions at the muddy edge of a stock pond in the early morning. They followed faint sign a short distance, covered the clearest prints to protect them, and later returned to make plaster casts and photograph stride. The prints were measured at 18 inches long, and hair was collected from vegetation in a nearby ravine.

The witness, then about 12, woke in a guest bedroom at the grandparents' farm and saw a large hairy figure watching through the window for under a minute. After slipping on a rug while trying to get up, the witness ran to the back of the house. While mushroom hunting with a child near a creek, the witness noticed movement behind a tree across the creek and then saw part of a dark hair-covered entity, including knee, shoulder and face. The entity moved behind the tree out of view, and the witness left immediately with the child. She later returned with a firearm and found footprints where the entity had stood.

The witness was riding in a vehicle with three relatives on a wooded road after sundown. As the vehicle came around a curve, the headlights illuminated a creature standing on a creek bank by a wooden bridge. The creature looked toward the vehicle, its eyes caught in the headlights, then turned and walked away.
Young couple encounter a rancid smell
The witness and his wife drove a short distance from a relative's home to their trailer to pick up diapers for their baby. At the house they found their penned hounds barking unusually and noticed a strong rancid odor at the back of the house. They collected the diapers and left without further investigation that night. The following evening they heard a television news account of a nearby sighting that also mentioned a rotting-meat smell.

Daylight sighting by woodsman of two bipeds stalking an elk
The witness was positioned on one mountainside watching across a valley toward an opposite slope where an elk was being stalked by two large brown animals first taken for bears. Viewed through binoculars, the two stood upright and walked on two legs, keeping the elk between them and at times hiding behind trees before entering heavy timber after about five minutes. The outcome for the elk was not seen, but the witness thought the pair probably killed it.
