Woman remembers her morning road walk interrupted by a large hairy bi-pedal animal on Whidbey Island

In early spring 1976 the witness was walking alone in the morning along an old logging road toward a country store. At a crossroads the witness saw a very tall, thin hair-covered figure emerge from dense forest about 200 feet away and cross the road in two long upright strides before re-entering the forest. The witness froze in fear and then ran back in the opposite direction.
