During the investigator's February visit, the group tried tree knocks and calls and later review revealed distant wood-on-wood knocking responses from the woods.

Residents of a central Michigan farm reported frequent night vocalizations over several years. Recorders captured goat-like and horse-like sounds, breathing and banging on a food barrel, and loud knocks from the woods when people moved between buildings. The witness investigated possible human sources and found one distant caller to exclude, but did not see the source.
