Deer hunters have frightening nightime encounter near White Plains
Late at night while camping for deer season, a companion who walked over a hill to a creek reported seeing a tall figure drinking that then stood and watched him, prompting him to run back to camp. Moments later the rest of the group heard loud crashing through brush and saw the silhouette of a very large human-shaped figure with long arms running hunched over on the hilltop by moonlight and lamplight. The group then packed up and left the woods.

The witness, about 15 at the time, was bow-hunting from a stand with his father nearby after sunrise. He noticed a large brown bush-like shape on a power-line hill that stood up into a man-shaped figure and then walked toward the woods, pausing to look back. Both the witness and his father watched it for an extended period before leaving the area.
