One eight-footer and one three-footer seen by witness
The witness was camping with companions on a multi-day hike and looked out of a tent early in the morning to see two hair-covered figures in vegetation about seventy feet away. The larger figure reached toward branches while the smaller handled a stick, then the larger vocalized, took the smaller's hand, and both left behind trees. The companions did not see the figures, and the witness later mentioned the sighting to a ranger while leaving the area.
Daylight sighting by horseback rider below Bald Butte, Mt. Hood zone
The witness and a young relative rode a horse up a hillside and stopped for cocoa before dusk. The horse reacted fearfully, and the witness saw a large hairy biped about 50 yards away that took a step toward them then turned and walked away. The pair fled with the horse and the witness reported the sighting to a parent after returning.

While driving east on the interstate at night in rain, the occupants of a car and surrounding traffic slowed for a tall dark figure running on and across the highway. The witness viewed the figure at close range from the passenger window and described eye contact and an expression of fear before it struck an oncoming pickup camper, ran up an embankment, and entered the trees.
Daytime sighting by young camper at Lost Lake
While hiking near a creek behind a store at Lost Lake, the witness saw a crouched dark-gray figure that looked like a fallen tree or stump. The witness left to retrieve a camera, marking the spot with a rock pile. When returning about 15 minutes later, the figure was gone and the rock pile had been knocked over. A companion was also present and saw the figure.
