The witness and the witness's son were driving north at night toward a New Year's party when they noticed a very large brown-covered figure kneeling just off the road with its back to them. They slowed as they passed, questioned what they had seen, but did not stop or turn back that night. They returned the next morning to check the spot but found nothing there.
