Possible encounters on a farm near Dry Ridge
The witness reports finding an unfamiliar skull and small bones under leaves beside a log while hunting on the back side of the farm. The witness, familiar with common animal skulls, reports others called it ape-like and is sending a jawbone for DNA analysis. The investigator's initial review of supplied photos suggested domestic dog skull.
Campers have several visual encounters
The witness let dogs out at camp and walked up the hill behind the trailer to find a small dog. While resting near a rock face, the witness heard the dog bark, looked back, and saw a tall black figure running down the hill. The witness followed the sound of it crashing through brush to a clearing below, where the noise stopped.
Lone camper hears vocalization
The witness was sitting alone by a campfire late at night when a very loud, high-pitched wailing howl began in the woods at a distance. The sound continued intermittently for about ten minutes, seeming to move slowly, with no answering calls heard. The witness felt it did not match known wolves, coyotes, or cougars and concluded it must have been a Sasquatch.
Motorist has nighttime sighting of animal along Interstate 75
The witness was driving alone late at night on Interstate 75 south of Cincinnati when headlights illuminated a tall dark-furred bipedal figure standing in a recess of a road cut. The figure, estimated at 6 to 6.5 feet tall, stood motionless with arms raised to shoulder height and stared at the car for a few seconds as the witness passed within about 15-20 feet. The witness described an angry humanlike face without a bear-like muzzle and felt frightened.
Campers and their dogs are frightened by vocalizations
The witness and their spouse were sleeping in their camper at Big Creek when the spouse heard strange loud vocalizations moving around the campsite for over an hour. After waking, the witness also heard loud screaming-howl sounds from changing directions nearby while their normally vocal dogs hid and shook. Feeling uneasy with only a small-caliber gun, they packed quickly and left the site that night.
Early evening sighting in Canyon City
At age six the witness was outside with a relative in late summer 1976 in Canyon City and watched a hair-covered figure standing on a hill across the road backlit by the setting sun for about a minute. The figure then turned and walked away out of sight. The witness ran inside to tell family, and parents later found large footprints on the hill.
Woman recalls afternoon sighting near the outskirts of Marion
The witness recalled seeing a light-colored hairy creature at the edge of a small woods near the family home on a summer afternoon. From about 70 feet away, the witness watched for about two minutes as it picked berries from a bush while bent over in tall grass. When it noticed being watched, it looked toward the witness, then took large steps into the woods and disappeared, after which the witness screamed.
Hunter briefly observes a stationary upright animal before it runs away
About 30 years ago the witness was hunting elk alone along a high ridge in daylight. He watched a dark upright shape behind a lone pine for a couple minutes, looked away to check for elk, then glimpsed brown legs to the waist running bipedally and silently across a clearing. He ran to get a wider view but saw and heard nothing further and could not explain the sighting as a known animal.

The witness and a relative were waiting on a gravel road in forested wetland for daylight to hunt. They saw a tall hair-covered figure emerge at the roadside, pause, then walk across the road before slipping on the bank and entering the water and timber. They fled to their vehicle and left the area with a parent.
