Late one dark evening the witness went behind the house to release tied dogs. A very tall, wide, white-gray fur-covered figure stood motionless a few feet away upright like a man. The witness avoided looking directly, released the dogs, and walked away; one dog halted and cowered while the figure stared without moving or making sound, eventually letting them leave.

Two children testing walkie-talkies in dense woods noticed a dark-faced figure watching them from behind a fallen tree. After several minutes of it shifting position and studying them, they backed away, saw it rise and place its hands on the trunk, then screamed and ran. They heard a loud crack and glimpsed the black, powerfully built biped running away almost silently.

Around 1978 two young brothers walking home through deep snow entered their yard and found a tall hairy figure standing about 30 feet away looking away. When it heard them it turned and stared for several seconds, then ran around the house through deep snow in seconds with long strides. The boys ran inside and their parents did not believe them.
Recollection of a daylight sighting while riding mini-bikes near Chardon
Two companions were riding mini bikes on a wooded trail and stopped to walk off the trail. A small hair-covered figure jumped from a tree about 20-30 feet ahead, landed on two feet facing them, and stared at them for several seconds. The pair ran back to their bikes and left quickly without looking back.
