Campers hear possible BF vocal in Allegheny NF 22 miles south of Warren
The witness and companions were camping in the forest and had been processing firewood and sitting by the fire. Around 6:30 p.m. two of them distinctly heard a loud, pronounced human-like whoop lasting several seconds, while a third companion heard something indistinct. A flashlight shined toward the sound revealed a large owl flying away, which they initially assumed was the source, but later comparison with local owl and coyote sounds left the witness unable to identify it. The witness reported feeling uneasy with a sense of presence in camp overnight without further unusual sounds.
ATV rider has broad daylight encounter, rocks thrown near Marienville
The witness stopped his ATV on a forest trail to wait for a slower companion. Small rocks began striking the vehicle, and he saw a tall dark hair-covered figure about 70-90 feet away rise from a low position to standing. He watched it briefly as it stood bipedally and then stepped backward into dense woods, after which he left quickly feeling fear and nausea.

The witness was fishing from a small boat close to shore in the evening when they heard splashing and noticed a strong odor. A tall, hairy, human-like figure stood up nearby in shallow water and stared at them for several seconds. The witness fled in the boat after the figure gave a loud high-pitched scream, later telling family members who found nothing on a return visit the next day.
Early afternoon vocalization heard by four people
Four people exploring an abandoned farmhouse heard a single very loud roar lasting about ten seconds from a treeline. The sound echoed, did not vary in pitch or intensity, and occurred only once. The group stopped, got into their car, and drove away.
