Property owner claims multiple incidents near confluence of Bear Creek and Sulphur River
The witness and a roommate were on the back porch at night when they heard very loud howling and repeated whooping sounds coming from the creek. The sounds continued for about 15-20 minutes, moving up and down the creek without fading. The witness described the calls as clear, very loud, and reminiscent of a mother calling a child home, and said it was unlike anything heard before.

While searching for deer tracks in a remote creek bottom, the witness reported finding twisted vegetation and large barefoot prints. Later that evening the party sat in the area until dark and reported receiving return wood knocks from three directions and hearing unexplained noises. They then reported hearing objects thrown through the woods toward them, with one small object striking a companion, prompting them to leave.

In the fall of 2001 the witness's daughter was driving up the gravel access road to the family home late at night after work. A large fur-covered figure running upright crossed a few yards in front of her headlights from west to east. She later compared its appearance to the creature from the film Harry and the Hendersons and was reluctant to discuss it.

The witness was hunting from the ground off a road with a relative nearby. After hearing tree breaks, movement, strange noises and heavy footsteps, the witness saw a large red bipedal animal walk along the road. When the witness spoke on the radio the animal screamed and ran away, and two large footprints were later found in silt.
