The witness reported being awakened at home by loud vocalizations and sounds of objects hitting the house, with farm and domestic animals reacting. He went outside armed to check the chicken pen and reported seeing a man-like bipedal figure taking chickens and retreating toward the woods. He said he pursued to high ground and aimed through his rifle scope, but branches fell near him and loud movement approached from both sides, prompting him to retreat and later fire toward the hollow. A single track was reported in the creek bottom the next day, but erosion had removed detail.

The witness and a companion were at home late at night when they heard loud, deep, rhythmic calling from the woods behind the house. They could not identify the sounds as known animals and later felt they resembled whoop recordings attributed to Bigfoot.
