Fisherman sees a sasquatch while fishing at Clinton Lake, 19 miles SE of Topeka
The witness and a companion were fishing from a dock at night and made whoop-like calls, receiving vocal responses. Rocks reportedly splashed in the water near them, and the witness approached reddish-orange eyeshine to within about 70 feet of a tall standing figure by a tree. The figure kept its distance while vocal exchanges continued, then left when the witness looked away at a fishing bell.
Loud calls, rock/boulder throwing disturbs campers
The witness and a companion were sitting at their campsite campfire at night when they heard loud canine-like howl and whoop calls from multiple directions, approaching to within about 35 yards. The calls were described as deeper and louder than coyote or wolf, followed by fast gutteral sounds likened to a language or argument between two animals. The pair ruled out known animals and a human prank after hearing a second matching voice upstream. The vocal exchange lasted about five to seven minutes before the animals appeared to move away upstream over a bluff.
Family hears loud whooping for three consecutive nights near Drain
The witness and a relative were walking home in the evening when they heard loud whooping from the mountain above them and ran home. They brought parents outside to listen, and all four heard the continuing whoops. The sounds recurred over subsequent nights, and a county trapper later searched the area but found nothing.
