During the night they heard loud calling sounds from across the river and later heard movement around the campsite, including grunt-like sounds beside the van. In the morning they compared notes, confirmed no other campers were present, and found no tracks due to hard ground.

They reported a tall hair-covered biped appearing very close across the creek, watching them, vocalizing, then moving uphill without slipping.
