Couple's near-miss road-crossing sighting 10 miles south of Trenton
The witness was driving north with a companion late at night when a large figure emerged from a ditch on the passenger side. The figure paused at the edge of the road as the SUV passed very close, with its chest level with the passenger window and its head near roof height. The witness estimated the figure at 8 feet tall or more and described grayish-white coloration and very thick arms.
Driver spots a tall biped crossing the road just west of Miami
Late at night the witness was driving south on Krome Highway in western Miami after leaving a casino. In the outer reach of the headlights a tall dark bipedal figure crossed the road left to right in about three strides while hunched forward in a jogging motion. The witness estimated it at 8 to 9 feet tall with a build proportional to its height and said it never looked toward the car.
Morning sighting by fisherman near Rising Fawn
The witness went fishing with a companion and moved alone to the side of a pond to bass fish. After about ten minutes he felt watched, turned, and saw a tall reddish-brown hairy figure standing on the bank about twelve feet away. The figure turned and walked away silently without showing its face, leaving the witness frozen, after which he ran back to the companion and they searched without finding sign.

While duck hunting from a canoe on a lake in the early morning, the witness heard very loud sustained calls from three different directions at varying distances. The calls were repeated in turn several times and were described as indicating very large lung capacity. The witness later became convinced the sounds matched published descriptions of Bigfoot calls.
Man describes figure looking into window outside Homestead
In fall 1977 a teen woke just before sunrise and looked out his screened window, exchanging grunts with something outside that made the screen vibrate. He and his father then went outside and watched a very large hair-covered creature near the woods that faced them before running into the woods, breaking two small pines as it left. The next day a neighbor reported seeing the creature as well.

Late at night in June, the witness was driving south on a dark two-lane highway through swampland with three children asleep in the back. She saw a large hair-covered figure come up from a roadside canal, stand on two legs and cross in front of her car. She slowed to almost a stop and watched it at very close range as it turned toward her before walking into the canal, then woke the children to tell them.
Possible collision with vehicle outside Homestead
Early one Saturday morning in 1971 or 1972 the witness was driving south on US 27 when he stopped at a fresh single-car wreck with law enforcement present. He saw a car with a crushed front fender and overheard officers remark that no one could have walked away from such an impact and about a bear moving unusually. He did not see any animal himself but later heard a radio news report saying the driver claimed to have hit a Florida Skunk Ape that officers chased into a thicket.
