Hunters on bikes have close encounter with a sasquatch near Randle
In 1998 the witness and a relative were hunting near Yellowjacket Creek and stopped on a trail to free a shoelace caught in a bike sprocket. A tall dark creature walked up the trail to within about 25 feet, then stepped behind a large maple tree and peeked from side to side. The two left the area quickly.

The witness was driving home around midnight with a passenger when they saw a small hairy ape-like creature crouched on its hands and knees in the road on a bridge. The driver swerved to avoid it while both occupants watched it hold its ground as they passed. When they looked back, it was gone.

The witness and the witness's young child were riding in a family van alongside a river after visiting a mountain when the witness noticed a large hairy biped standing in shallow water near the bank. The creature was facing away and looking down, allowing a clear daylight view of its size and musculature. The driver did not stop for filming and did not see the creature.

The witness was driving with two companions when they saw a hair-covered figure move between tree groups across a meadow and later stand at the far end of the meadow. The witness got out and approached on foot to within about 30 yards before the figure turned and went into the trees. The witness then reported finding and measuring footprints in the area.

On the afternoon of May 9, 2002, the witness was traveling toward Mt. St. Helens and looked down into the Toutle wash. The witness saw a dark, long-armed figure walking through the creek heading northeast for about 5 seconds, judging it much larger than a man from its stride. The driving companion did not see it. They stopped and scanned the area for 10-15 minutes with no further movement, but noted disturbed ground where it appeared to leave the woods.

While slowly driving a forested gravel road on a deer-scouting trip, the witness and a companion saw two hair-covered figures standing at the roadside about 100 yards ahead. Described as a larger and a smaller individual, they appeared to hesitate as if about to cross. They then darted across the road through underbrush and quickly disappeared on the other side.
Elk hunters have morning sighting under power lines, near Lexington
While hunting with his wife in the morning, the witness stopped under a powerline clearing and saw a light-colored bipedal figure emerge from the treeline about 100-150 yards away. The figure stood motionless for several minutes looking away, then walked quickly across the clearing with long strides and disappeared into brush on the far side. The pair later approached the spot but found no tracks on the hard ground, though they noted a path through tall blackberry bushes where it had exited.

The witness and a companion were driving west on a highway at night when a large black-haired biped stepped over a guardrail into their headlights. The figure crossed the road with a graceful but bent-legged stride, turned to look toward the vehicle, then continued across and climbed a sheer cliff out of view. The witness described it as about eight feet tall, powerfully built, and covered in short hair.

The witness was drift-fishing alone at a river bend while a relative fished out of sight. After hearing a repeated striking sound, the witness looked across the river and saw a large dark bipedal figure repeatedly lifting a fish overhead and striking it on a rock. After watching briefly the figure carried the fish away toward the woods, and the witness reeled in and ran to tell the relative, who suggested it was another fisher and did not investigate.

The witness walked alone down a wooded path to a spring on a relative's farm. Near the spring the witness watched a hair-covered bipedal creature squatting and drinking for one to two minutes. A vocal sound from behind startled the first creature to standing and revealed a second taller creature close behind the witness. The witness ran away through the woods to the path and was not followed.
