A relative reported on behalf of the witness, who was driving home in the late afternoon when a tall hairy biped stepped onto the road very close to her car. The witness braked and swerved to avoid a collision as it walked slowly across without hurrying, glancing back once before disappearing into woods by a lake. The encounter reportedly lasted about 30 seconds in good daylight.

Daylight sighting by hunter along powerline route near Newnan
The witness was hunting alone from a tree stand near a powerline cut when a doe ran past as if spooked. Moments later a tall, hairy, human-like figure crossed an opening in the woods in a single fast stride and disappeared. The witness heard more spooked deer running toward his position, smelled a lingering foul odor, and radioed a relative to come retrieve him.
