Couple bow hunting on Mt Emily initially mistake bigfoot for another hunter

While bow hunting with a companion on Mt. Emily in late August around 1981-1983, the witness drove to the summit and first mistook a figure by a tree for another hunter. As they drove past, the figure stood up, walked across the road to a hillside, paused to look at them, then disappeared over the hill. The witness inspected the spot and estimated the figure at about 8 feet tall by comparison to the tree, concluding it was not a hunter or bear.

The Database of Unexplained Encounters. Claims are recorded as claims: the Anomadex catalogues what people reported, where it was reported, and how sure I am that it was read correctly. It does not rule on what they saw.

A quick ask from the person behind the Anomadex: if you allow analytics, Google Analytics shows me which places, phenomena and searches you're most curious about. That tells me which regions and sources to add next and what to make easier to find. It never sees your name or anything you send me, and nothing is set unless you say yes. Privacy
