Heavy footsteps and screams heard near Bear Canyon Lake
The witness was camping overnight in a tent with two companions. Around 4 a.m. the witness woke to loud heavy footsteps moving away from camp and found the tent door half open with a damaged zipper. The witness searched with a spotlight, saw no one, and noted the steps stopped while a foul odor like dirty feet and urine lingered. Earlier that night the group had heard loud screaming and growling amid barking dogs.

Rock throwing incident at Woods Canyon Lake
The witness was fishing at a lake spillway in the afternoon when a basketball-sized rock flew through trees from an upslope hill to the east and landed in the lake. Birds that had been chirping went quiet, and another nearby fisherman who also saw it left. The witness later smelled a strong skunk-like odor upwind.
