Late at night the witness was alerted by his dog barking intensely at the woods across the street. He shone a flashlight and saw blinking eyeshine high up, which a family member dismissed as an owl. After firing a BB gun toward the light, he heard something crash quickly through dense undergrowth to the left while the dog ran to keep pace and kept staring at the spot where the movement stopped.
