After a call, something large crashed straight up a hill to the treeline, a chipmunk chattered for minutes, his father heard a hard stomp and was hit twice by pebble-sized rocks, and faint movement crossed right to left. Next morning he found a 14-inch footprint and a bent 3-inch-thick tree.
