Day-time road crossing sighting 40 miles southwest of Ocala
Early one morning in 2017 the witness was driving with a companion toward a boat ramp for a fishing trip. While navigating an S-curve, the witness saw a tall hairy figure cross the road from left to right about 75 yards ahead, moving from shadow into a sunlit patch. The figure disappeared behind a blind spot before the vehicle reached the crossing point, and the companion did not see it. After stopping at the location, the witness found no tracks, trail, or odor.

The witness was driving past a hunting area in the dark with bright headlights on. A large black hairy biped ran across the road from one woodline to the other in three leaps with a bent-kneed stride. It turned its head toward the vehicle but facial details could not be made out except deep-set eyes.

Late at night while returning to his Boy Scout camp on an island, the witness took a shortcut through a clearing and approached what he thought was a stump to about six feet away. The shape stood on two legs revealing a broad, hair-covered bipedal figure that stared at him briefly before walking then running away through palmettos with loud crashing footsteps. He returned to camp frightened and was told by the adult leader to go back to sleep.
