The witness was sitting on the ground deer hunting overlooking a creek when the woods became unusually quiet. He heard distinct wood knocks to his right, then a fainter distant response to his left, felt uncomfortable with hair standing up, and left the area quickly. He later filed the report after hearing similar wood knocking discussed on a TV program.
