SATURDAY NIGHT 10:30 : Motorist sighting of a sasquatch crossing Route 78 near Sangamon River
Late at night the witness was driving north on a highway through farmland. A very large, black-haired biped ran across the road from left to right in about two seconds, covering the lanes in two leaps. The figure appeared hunched forward with long arms swinging low, briefly turned its head toward the driver, then disappeared into an open field.

After reaching a dead end at a creek and turning around, the witness saw a large dark figure cross the road behind the vehicle in the rearview mirror. The figure was described as looking toward the vehicle before disappearing. An attempt to capture dashcam video produced poor footage.

The animal stood upright, revealing a very tall, broad, dark-brown hairy human-like form, and the driver got out and shouted at it. A tall light-brown figure crossed in front of the car and headed toward a nearby cemetery. All occupants reportedly watched it for about 10-12 seconds before driving past and taking another way home.
