Father and son have a close daylight encounter while driving to Wright Patman Lake
A man driving to fish with his son stopped on a road near a lake after seeing what he thought was a bear. The animal stood upright, revealing a very tall, broad, dark-brown hairy human-like form, and the driver got out and shouted at it. The creature vocalized loudly, threw part of a snake toward them, then ran rapidly into the woods.

Local people record strange primate vocalizations in remote woods north of Nimrod (w/ recordings)
The witness and three companions went to a regular search area at night to listen for responses. They heard prolonged vocalizations from unseen sources, at one point estimated within 75 yards and loud enough to feel chest vibration. A companion recorded the sounds on a digital camera and the group felt the sounds did not match known hunted animals.
