The guest and his wife joined other researchers for an overnight investigation of a private property where the owner reported pounding and odd signs. After finding large footprints and noticing fresh fallen trees and a strong odor during an ATV ride, the group heard bipedal steps near base camp late at night. The guest watched a large upright figure sway between trees through night vision, saw it reappear squatting, then lose it as it moved over a ridge. The next morning the team found trampled vegetation where the figure had stood and noted they had audio of the event.

The witness was driving on a mountain highway on a foggy morning when a large hair-covered figure was seen beside the road. The witness stopped to watch as it stepped over a barbed-wire fence in one stride and walked away into the fog without looking toward them. The observation lasted just under two minutes and included a strong wet-dog odor.

The witness was fishing on the north bank of a river when a dog on the south bank barked at brush and confronted an upright, hair-covered animal. The animal knocked the dog down, emitted a ticking sound and a musky odor, then walked into the woods where the witness lost sight of it while wearing waders. The witness later found the dog with blood on it and reported seeing a taped-off police search at the site.

While camping with family, the witness walked up a wooded hill by cabins to collect insects late in the morning. After noticing a musty rotting-grass smell, the witness saw a large upright hair-covered figure off the path that turned and looked in her direction. The witness froze, then ran back down to camp and did not report the event to family at the time.
