The witness was deer hunting from a stand at Calvert Cliffs State Park. After about 30 minutes they heard something behind them and turned to see a large hairy creature about 75 yards away. The creature was running away and quickly disappeared into thick brush.

Man tells of father's encounter near Lusby in 1929
The witness's late father was deer hunting from a tree stand in Maryland shortly after daylight when he noticed a tall hair-covered figure leaning against a tree. The figure looked up after the father sneezed, then stood up and ran away. The father described it as about 8 feet tall, covered head to toe in dark brown hair, with a strong skunk-like odor.
