A couple stopped their car on an isolated forest road and made whoop sounds. They heard wood knocks and strange whoop-like vocalizations answered from both downhill and uphill sides of the road. The exchange lasted about five minutes until a distant dog barked and the couple left.

They searched the apparent origin area and found a fresh large bass displayed on a boulder, aligned toward the path, with no other people around.
